Based on Jacques Offenbach‘s ‘The Tales of Hoffman’, this new English-language production transported the audience to Mexico City in the Golden Cinema Age of the 1940s, mixing Offenbach’s music with traditional ‘Danzón’.
As the Interaction Consultant, I helped the team consider how the audience moved between and within the spaces, and how they dramaturgically related to the performance.
The show took place in three spaces at the Arcola Theatre, London in 2018.
Furthermore, I managed the usher team for each performance to make sure the audience could take part in the interactive elements without obstructing the performance.
